Issac was great. I’m concerned about the paying process. No cash exchanged and a finance contract was written with a big finance percent number. I told them I would pay cash for the car, and they said I could just pay off the loan when the paperwork arrived. I still waiting for the paperwork and now concerned there will be an additional cost to me. My credit score was in the high 800’s, so I’m not sure why the contract wasn’t written with a much lower rate. Should have been in the 4’s or below.
Terrible service. Brought car in twice for service in 2 months for battery/starting issues. Neither time did they offer/mention running diagnostics on my battery drain. However, the 2nd time they did recommend replacing my spark plugs which were replaced on the 1st visit. When I asked them about it they said they just recommended it based on mileage, which is insane. Recommendations should be made based upon issues present and mileage since last known service. Brought my car in for service as it stalled in heavy freeway traffic and multiple error messages flashed on. I was given a courtesy loaner and after they had the car for over a week they could not find anything wrong except the back brakes needed to be changed and since and the next oil change was coming up. I had an excellent experience at Summit Subaru. I went in for routine maintenance, and during the visit they discovered oil and transmission issues that needed attention. Not only were these problems fully repaired, but they were also completely covered under my extended warranty—something I would not have known if Nathan, my service advisor, hadn’t gone out of his way to research the coverage and advocate on my behalf. His attention to detail, honesty, and commitment to great customer service made all the difference. Truly outstanding service from start to finish. Highly recommend!
William was wonderful. He kept me informed and did. Not have to wait very long. Only problem was that the tires were supposed to be rotated and they were not.

We've been taking our Outback to Summit Subaru for about three years now. We switched from another dealership in San Diego that was sub-par in their customer care. The staff at Summit, including most recently Nathan, have been outstanding. Can't say enough about how smooth and enjoyable our experiences have been with them. Highly recommend taking your Subaru there.

So far, we have only come to Summit for maintenance/repair of our 2019 Subaru Forester, having just discovered this place a few months ago. Greg and the Service Department have been great, very accomodating… explains the issues and considers the $$ cost of their recommendations.

Went to buy a used car. It turned out the listed price was a “bait price” and completely false. After wasting a great deal of time, the dealer added an unnecessary $2500 “protection package” which had already been been installed - even though their website said this was optional. They also added $575 of fake “government fees” which they refused to itemize. (Should have been half that.)
I leased a 2025 Crosstrek limited a month ago with Isaac Ramirez and it was the smoothest and easiest transaction. We've used Subarus in my family so I knew what I wanted and he gave me the number I asked for. I was really glad I didn't feel bullied into making such a big decision like at many other dealerships immediately, he never rushed me and he was incredibly responsive to any questions I had.

I called to get an oil change at 9:00. They called back at 9:15, scheduled me for 9:45..I drove away at 10:55. Gregory Abbot was the service advisor. Very nice. He went over everything with me. The video, that was sent to my phone, of the inspection of my car in real time was a pleasant surprise! I had forgotten my oil change coupon at home and they applied to my bill.:-)

Service guy was excellent but we paid 1grand for an O2 sensor to be installed and then one mile down the road the check engine light came on they diagnosed it again and said it's the catalytic converter now. We would have never paid for the O2 sensor if we knew we were going to have to do a catalytic converter. It's not even worth the price of the car. Took my 2011 Forester to a local shop. They had no idea what was wrong. So i took it to the guys who know Subaru. Summit fixed my car and now im back on the road.
Service Department is dishonest.
My son's car was brought in for a transmission service - it was dropped off this morning at 7:45am and sat in a parking space until after 8:45am. At 8:59am he received a text that his car was done.

My Outback became inoperable due to a faulty thermal sensor & I had to get it towed to the Summet Subaru in El Cajon. The repair was under warranty & there was no charge to me for the repair. Lies and sells un authorized products. Refunded DMV charges . Smogged a truck not needed had to leave my truck 25 days for repairs with no concession on payments of the truck and told me nothing was wrong with cooling system and had replace radiator and hoses coolant and cap to fix coolant leak . I was treated very well, everything happened so fast, I felt a little whelm with the explaining of paper work. I wanted a payment closer to 400 dollars and I am now with a payment of 526.00 this is a bit pricey because I have to take in account the payment for auto insurance which I didn’t expect to be so high. I was treated nice, but like I said it was all so fast, the coverage for the windshield was pushed somewhat and now that I think about it, auto insurance includes coverage.

Dealership is great. Only down side they went thru all my gas when fixing and are cheap to fill it up because their fixing your issue but your spending hundreds of dollars sounds like a cheap dealership.

Easy to schedule service. However, my lease transaction was with the previous owner and his staff/personnel are all gone. I am still owed money since my trade-in was worth much more. I had to purchase my leased CRV from Honda rather than Subaru of El Cajon doing the exchange on a dealer-to-dealer basis. Hence, I paid full price but was not credited properly for this exchange.
